Stay Connected With Brightwheel
Communication is a large part of the quality care we provide here at First Friends. We want you to have peace of mind while your child is in our care. The Brightwheel App brings your child’s day directly to your smartphone or tablet. All enrolled families have access to our Brightwheel App. Parents and family members can easily get messages from teachers, share pictures from the classroom, check Infant and Toddlers daily activity in real time or send direct correspondences to the center management.
Is your child a picky eater?
No worries, because at First Friends children bring their own sack lunch. Unlike most day care centers, you are allowed to bring in your own food.
We provide breakfast and afternoon snacks for the children one year and older. Milk and fruit are provided to supplement their lunch.
Our Programs
At First Friends Child Care Center, we offer a variety of programs tailored to fit the needs of working families. Our program includes Infant care, Toddler/Twos care, Preschool and Pre-K. We offer a variety of activities and lessons that are designed to stimulate creativity and encourage learning.
Our Facility
At First Friends Child Care Center, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child. Our facilities are designed with children’s safety and development in mind. We have amazing large playgrounds with trees that provide natural shade with plenty of room for the children to explore, be active and happy. Our classrooms are clean and inviting, and all our staff is trained in the latest safety protocols.
Our goals are to provide a varied, stimulating curriculum that meet the needs of the children and their parents, both as groups and as individuals, to involve the parents in planning and participating in the activities of the center, thus fostering a partnership between the parents and the center and to maintain a staff of professionals who genuinely enjoy, respect, and understand young children.
Our Location
First Friends is conveniently located on-site at the VA Medical Center Campus for all Federal employees. We are tucked in towards the back of the campus near the Sunnyside Park. No loud busy streets near us. The children enjoy peaceful quiet outdoor play. Convenient drop off and pick up parking right in front of the school. We are near the University of Utah.
